Tux Adventures

So what is it?

Tux Adventures is an SDL-based platform game featuring smooth gameplay, colorful destructible levels sporting Tux, the Linux mascot. The player drives Tux through the melting ice field, sliding over icebergs thanks to pixel-perfect collision detection.

10th revision propagated! (2007-03-13)

I've been working on the new engine quite a few. SDL, sprite, animation and physic managers have been put on rails and start to be usable. A beta menu has just been added with a first (draft) logo.

Some days more and we'll reach the old engine's advancement, but with a much better codebase. After that, it will be time to speak about level destruction, and then... scripting?

SVN up & running, working on pre-alpha (2007-02-04)

I've finally managed to get SVN to work and got the first revisions in the repository. Right now, the result isn't great: just a blank 800x600 window is showing up on startup, but the SDL and input singleton managers are working.

See the screenshots section below, it features one of the old test engine, with Tux jumping over a big snow canyon. Yay!

Project now hosted on SF.net! (2007-01-14)

Hello folks! Tux Adventures is now hosted on SF.net. We're starting to play with SVN and SSH. As soon as all DNS will be propagated, I'll try and upload my last working copy.
